Scott graduated from Texas A&M in 2011 and quickly fell in love with recruiting. Over the next 6 years, he worked both in-house and on the agency side, helping introduce technical talent to startups around Austin, TX.
In 2016 he moved to New York City where he joined a startup called MakeSpace as the first technical recruiting hire. He was able to see the company grow from Series C to Acquisition (35->150 people) and see friends level up their careers from entry-level positions to senior management.
In 2022, a few ex-MakeSpace friends of his founded a marketing analytics company and when they opened a Head of People opportunity he jumped at the opportunity, getting to wear a number of hats in recruiting, onboarding, interview training, benefits coverage, and employee engagement.
Last summer after a big tour of the east coast he settled in Richmond where he was introduced to the team at Workshop where the best is yet to come.
