A Nationally Recognized Resturant Scene
Without a doubt, my favorite thing about Richmond is the number of cool, local restaurants throughout the city, and there’s no better representative than Lucy’s on 2nd Street. The space seats about 40 people at booths, tables and a small bar. As you walk in, you’ll likely see Mrs. Lucy bustling about, greeting people, chatting with the staff and guests, or delivering one of the mouth-watering dishes freshly prepared by her husband, Jason.
I recommend the Monrovia Farm hamburger, made of locally raised beef from the farm where Mrs. Lucy grew up. If you’re looking for something lighter, order the non-spaghetti and meatballs. The “meatballs” are a magical concoction of avocado, artichoke, and spinach and are served on spaghetti squash. If you know me at all, you’ll know that’s not the kind of thing I’d normally recommend, but trust me: It’s insanely good.

When you’re in Richmond, you can’t go wrong giving Lucy’s a visit. Trust me, the endearing environment, great food, and even better people won’t let you down.
