How Service Page Content Updates Drove a 228% Increase in Organic Opportunities

The Challenge

While traffic volume was strong, our website was not capturing high-intent prospects. We lacked visibility for service-based keywords used by buyers actively evaluating SEO and paid media partners.

The Outcome

Organic opportunities grew 228% year over year, supported by a 217% increase in top 10 rankings and a 60% lift in service page sessions.

The Story

Our website generated healthy organic traffic and engagement, particularly around early-stage and informational content. However, a deeper look at performance revealed that this visibility was not translating into downstream demand.

We were not ranking for many national service keywords that signal commercial intent, including “on-page SEO services” and “local SEO services”. As a result, users actively searching for digital marketing support were often discovering competing agencies instead of Workshop Digital.

This insight made it clear that our organic search presence did not fully reflect the intent of users ready to evaluate service providers.

The Challenge

While traffic volume was strong, our website was underperforming as a lead acquisition channel for high-intent prospects. We were missing an important segment of potential leads who were further down the funnel and actively evaluating SEO and paid media partners.

By improving visibility for service-based, high-intent keywords tied to our digital marketing solutions, we had an opportunity to capture qualified demand already in-market and better align organic performance with business growth goals.

The Approach

To better capture high-intent demand, we restructured our service page content to align more closely with how users search when evaluating digital marketing partners.

We created and expanded service-led content that incorporated relevant keywords while clearly answering how each service supports business goals. Rather than focusing solely on what the service is, content was written to address why it matters and how it drives results.

To support conversion, we introduced a new page template designed to function more like a landing page. This included clearer value propositions, improved content hierarchy, and a contact form placed prominently at the top of each page to reduce friction for users ready to engage, and that landed directly on the service page.

In addition, we launched new sub-service pages, such as Off-Page SEO, to better target niche and long-tail keyword variations. This allowed us to capture more specific, high-intent searches while reinforcing topical authority across our core service offerings.

The Outcome

Following the updates to our service content and site structure, we saw significant improvements in both organic visibility and lead generation.

Year over year, organic opportunities increased by +228%, driven by stronger rankings for high-intent, service-based keywords. During the same period, the number of keywords ranking in the top 10 positions grew by +217%, reflecting broader and more competitive visibility across core service terms.

Engagement on service-related pages also increased, with sessions up +60%, indicating that users were not only finding these pages more frequently but actively engaging with content designed to support conversion.
