With all the talk about today’s unsurpassed unemployment levels, it’s no surprise that many recent college graduates leave their alma maters in sheer terror. Fortunately for us, the field of Internet marketing has experienced substantial growth over the last few years thus, creating new opportunities within the industry for bright and eager new grads. In fact, 12 of the top 25 Advertising & Marketing Companies on the 2013 Inc. 5000 list are involved in SEO and/or PPC.
As more dollars are spent on online marketing efforts, the need for qualified individuals with an excellent understanding of SEO and SEM continues to grow. However, one of the greatest challenges facing marketing agencies and in-house marketing departments alike is finding talented graduates with a solid understanding of Internet marketing principles and what it takes to effectively maximize online marketing campaigns.
To encourage students to pursue education within the world of Internet marketing, we will be offering an annual $1,000 scholarship for the Outstanding Internet Marketing student at James Madison University starting in the spring of 2014.
