In a normal year, moving into a new office would be a reason to celebrate another milestone in Workshop Digital's growth. This year, our office serves another purpose. It gives us a reason to look forward and anticipate a future time when we can all be together in person.
Someday we will host a proper open house and welcome our friends, clients, families, and partners into the new office. It may be a while but that day will come. We can't wait to show you around.

How we got here
We signed a lease in pre-COVID times and had big plans to roll out the red carpet to our team, clients, and the Richmond marketing community as a shared space for doing awesome work together. That obviously didn't work out.
Now it feels more like 9,700 square feet of unused potential. An office is supposed to be a welcoming, fun environment where people can be themselves and share meaningful experiences with coworkers.
But I don't regret our decision or the outcome. Quite the contrary. I think our big, beautiful new space is going to serve us well for years to come even as we transition to a remote/hybrid/flexible workplace.
It's the center of our culture and a great place to do great work. I don't know what the future of work looks like yet, but our office will evolve to meet the needs of our team and still play a crucial role as our culture evolves and adapts.
